Calls: choosing numbers, calling and setting your availability

The Calls screen is the starting point for calling from Telsmart. You type or paste a phone number, dial it using the keypad, and start the call. Using the tabs at the top you see your speed dial contacts, your recent calls and your team's calls.

Calling a number

  1. Go to Calls in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the Type or paste a number field and type the number. You can also paste a number from your clipboard.
  3. You can also use the keypad with the digits 0–9, * and #. Use the back-arrow button (⌫) to delete the last character.
  4. Click the green phone button below the keypad to start the call.

Searching for a contact or company

Use the search bar at the top of the page, Search contacts, companies, team, calls, to quickly find someone. You open the search with the shortcut Ctrl+K (on Mac: Cmd+K).

Using speed dial

The Speed dial tab holds contacts you call often, so you don't have to type them in every time.

  1. Click the Speed dial tab.
  2. Click Add contact to add a contact.
  3. Then click the contact to call it right away.

Viewing recent calls and team

  • Recent calls: view numbers you've called and received before, and call them again.
  • Team: view your colleagues' calls and contacts.

Setting your availability

Click your profile avatar in the top right (the initials AT) to open the menu. There you choose your status:

  • Online: you're available for calls.
  • Busy: you're busy with a call or task.
  • Away: you're temporarily unavailable.
  • In meeting: you're in a meeting.

From the same menu you also open your Profile, switch to a dark theme, or change the language. Use Logout to sign out.

Call settings

Below the keypad you'll find Call settings. There you adjust the settings for your calls.

Tips

  • Pasting works too: copy a number from an email or CRM and paste it straight into the input field.
  • Search faster: use Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K) instead of the mouse.
  • Keep your status up to date: set your status to Busy or In meeting so colleagues know when you're not available.
  • Switching workspaces: if you work with multiple workspaces, check in the bottom left that you're in the right workspace (in this example Telsmart Demo).
